FIRST AMERICAN LUTHERAN CHURCH

Text Box: Invited and inviting—that is the nature of the church. By God’s grace in holy baptism we have a place at the banquet table of the Lord. When, by the power of that same Spirit, humility and mutual love continue among us, the church can be more inviting still.

Welcome Guests and Visitors to First American Lutheran Church! We rejoice in your presence with us today. Help us to remember your visit by signing our guest book. Please share your name with those around you and with the Pastor. Whether you are here for only one service or are seeking a permanent place to worship, please feel at home among us today!

Holy Communion: It is the invitation of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all baptized Christians are invited to feast at the Lord’s Table. Martin Luther reminds us that, “Holy Communion is the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ given with bread and wine, instituted by Christ himself for us to eat and drink. In this sacrament we receive forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation.” Those not prepared to receive the Sacrament may come forward for a blessing. We have celiac-friendly communion wafers. Please let Pastor know if you prefer these wafers.

Two Sunday Morning Worship Services: Beginning Sunday, Wednesday 19th, we will be returning to two services on Sunday mornings. Service times will be 8:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.
Of course with two services we will be looking for additional Ushers, Communion Assistants, Readers, Song Leaders, etc. What are your gifts? Let the church office know how you would like to share your gifts on Sunday mornings.

Volunteers needed to remove pews so the new carpet can be installed. If you are able to help call Ron Frease at 920-834-5256.

Thank you Stewardship & D.E.M. Ministry Team for set up and clean up at our last Wednesday evening outdoor worship of the summer.

Rally Sunday is September 12th. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to rally back around your church family after a long summer of camping and fishing and traveling. Worship service will be held at 9 a.m. either outdoors or in the church depending on the weather. After worship all are invited to stay for a congregation picnic. Bring a dish to pass. The church grill will be available for grilling if you bring a meat.

High Five begins again on Sept. 15th. We are still looking for High Five Teachers. Won’t you prayerfully consider sharing your faith with our young people. Call the church office if you are able to teach, assist, or are willing to be on a substitute list.

Wednesday Evening Meals: We want to continue the awesome ministry of serving a nutritious meal to our young people and their parents on Wednesday evenings before High 5 classes. We are in need of folks to 1) Purchase the food, 2) Prepare the food, 3) Serve the food, 4) Clean-up after the meal. This is a great opportunity to have some inter-generational fellowship! Adults of all ages are invited to get involved in this ministry. Call the office and let us know that you and a team of your friends would like to help. Or, talk to Vicki Dennessen or Pastor Mary for more information.
